Trench Art Letter Opener WW1
Letter opener, a lovely piece of trench art from World War 1. On one side, the handle is engraved with the name Audruick (anglicised by the young soldier who made it). In WW1 there was an English Military camp at Audruicq, in northern France, which was bombarded by the Germans in 1916.
On the other side of the handle it is simply World War. That is of course what we NOW call World War 1, which was hoped to be the war to end all wars. In good condition. A super piece of memorabilia.
